St. John's currently hosts quarterly Welcome Weekend Events - fun, free, and open to all parishioners.

Members Needed

Are you feeling called to serve the Church by providing hospitality to our newest parishioners? Help is needed to make contact and connection with new people, as well as in planning and executing special Welcome Weekend Events.

The Ministry is led and organized by Jeff Kropfl in the odd months. We are currently looking for someone to head up the volunteers in the even months (Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct, Dec).

Soup Kitchen

St. John the Baptist Parish helps sponsor a Soup Kitchen, located at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Evansville (301 Southeast 1st Street). The soup kitchen is open from 12:00-1:30 p.m. every Saturday. St. John the Baptist Parish volunteers work at the soup kitchen the first Saturday of every month. Odd months (January, March, May, July, September, November) are sponsored by St. John the Baptist's St. Vincent de Paul ministry...and even months are sponsored by St. John the Baptist Parish Sharing Fund.

Please prayerfully consider how you can help at the St. Paul’s Soup Kitchen. Whether you feel called to serve as Ministry Leader or just would like to offer your time on a Saturday, please call Summer Wright in the Parish Office 812.490.1000.

This Ministry is a perfect opportunity for families, couples or singles to be the hands of Jesus - who commands us, “feed my sheep.”
