Julie Swihart is the new Pre-School Director at Kinder Kountry, St. John the Baptist Parish.

I live on the Westside of Evansville with my husband and two children. Both my son and daughter are on competitive swim teams so many hours are spent each week traveling back and forth to practice and meets. I have been a member of Resurrection Catholic Church for over thirty years. During that time I have taught Sunday School and Bible School. I also served on the Finance Committee for our summer social.

After graduating from Mater Dei High School, I earned a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Indiana. My early childhood experience began at Royal Child Care. During my nine years there, I served as teacher, assistant director, and director. In 2004 I made the move to St. John Kinder Kountry Pre-School. I taught the 5 Day Pre-K class for two years.

I am looking forward to my role as director of the pre-school. My goal is to provide a warm, loving environment in which children may feel secure to learn and grow at their own pace. St. John Kinder Kountry Pre-School is "A special little place for special little people."
