Mature Adults:
This group invites anyone over the age of 55 yrs.  The group involves itself in study of Scripture and hosts a number of social trips throughout the year.

Quilters:
This group is comprised of beginning and experienced quilters who gather each Monday evening, 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday morning, 9:00 a.m.  They quilt for individuals and for the parish.  Some quilts are used as prizes for the Summer Social.  Proceeds from quilting for individuals is gifted to the parish.

Mother to Mother:
A wonderful ministry that provides an intimate and safe atmosphere where mothers gather to find encouragement, instruction, prayer time and caring friends. It is an opportunity for moms to know Jesus in a personal way and to share feelings about motherhood - its frustrations as well as its great joys. Babysitting is provided for a small fee. Meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Playgroup meets twice monthly (time varies) and a Mother's Night Out is planned monthly.

Men’s Club:

The Men’s Club fosters new and renews old friendships within the parish community. Some of its activities include the annual Steak Night and Reverse Draw. The club makes annual financial gifts to the parish. Meeting time is the 3rd Tuesday of the month, beginning with a prayer service in the chapel, 6:45 p.m.

Adult Recreation:
Adult recreation is open to all parishioners.  Presently, the primary activity is basketball in the Center on Monday evening, 8:30 p.m.

Summer Social:
The Summer Social is held in late June or early July. Next social is July 10-11-12, 2008. It is the primary fundraiser for the parish. Parishioners of all ages are encouraged to volunteer their time and talent.

Fish Fry:
Held on Fridays during the season of  Lent.  An important fundraiser for the K of C and Men’s Club.  These evenings provide good food and opportunities for socializing.

Steak Night:
Annual fundraiser of the Men’s Club.  Held the first Saturday in June on St. John parking lot.  The community comes from far and wide to eat delicious steak, baked potato, and green beans and have a bit of beer.  Dancing and gambling are part of the festivities.

Couples Night Out:
An anniversary celebration of Mass, renewal of wedding vows, dinner and a speaker in the lower level of the church. It is usually held on the Saturday closest to Valentine's Day.

Fit Over Fifty:
An exercise program for seniors 50 yrs. and over. Meets every Monday and Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. and every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 - 11:45 a.m. in the Center/Arena. A social gathering or speaker on health topics follows the exercise routine 1x a month on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Relay For Life:
A unique community outreach and fundraising event for the American Cancer Society sponsored by the St. John Junior High Youth Ministry. Participants form teams of 8-12 people, raise money as a team, and take turns walking or running on a track for 18 hours in a joint effort to fight against cancer. Party atmosphere of decorated campsites, entertainment, food, activities and camaraderie. The 2008 Relay takes place June 13 & 14

Special Events Committee :
A committee in existence to plan and carry out the details of special functions. Examples: Annual benefit function for Birthright and Right to Life, clergy anniversaries, and more.

PTSA Autumn Escape to Mexico :
A fun, casual evening of dinner, dancing, and silent and live auctions. Proceeds benefit the children of St. John School.
