| Parish Pastoral Council: | ||
| The Parish Pastoral Council consists of elected parishioners and pastoral appointments. The council is an advisory body to the Pastor. It gives direction through discerning God's will for the community, assessing needs, developing priorities and engaging in planning. Meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of the month, 7:00 p.m. in the Joseph Room. | ||

| Finance Committee | ||
| This committee is made up of appointed parishioners with professional financial background. They help in the creation of the yearly budget and assist /advise in financial matters. | ||

| Personnel and Policy Committee | ||
| This committee is responsible for handling the parish’s human resources function. Responsibilities include updating job descriptions, formulating and updating personnel and facilities manuals, etc. | ||

| Stewardship Committee | ||
| This committee has as its goal the development of a total stewardship parish. The group meets as needed to plan and implement stewardship education for parishioners as well as the annual stewardship appeal. | ||

| Direct Debit / Electronic Transfer of Funds / E-tithing | ||
| A modern tool for modern times. Sign up for direct, electronic transfer of your stewardship offerings from your checking or savings account. Weekly or monthly on the 1st or 15th or semi-monthly on the 1st and 15th. It is a convenience for parishioners and helps smooth the cash flow for the parish. Authorization agreement forms available at the parish office. | ||

| Catholic Tradition Credit Card | ||
| Use your Catholic Tradition credit card (Visa or MasterCard) and a portion of the proceeds will help fund Catholic education. That means you'll be supporting St. John School, with every use of your card - at no additional cost to you. No annual fee. The Diocese receives ˝ of 1 percent of all purchases. It is shared in our deanery with Rockport, based on school enrollment. To date, St. John School has benefited in the amount of $49,235.15. Applications are available in the parish office. | ||

| SCRIP | ||
| SCRIP is simply a word that means "substitute money" --in other words, SCRIP is gift certificates from national and local merchants. St. John the Baptist Parish purchases gift certificates from participating stores - food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and restaurants - at discounted prices and resells to you at face value. It costs you nothing. You are putting regular shopping dollars to work that help St. John earn substantial dollars for capital improvements to our campus. | CPC | ||
| This annual campaign is a means of providing financial support for various service programs offered by the Catholic Diocese of Evansville. The campaign is co-ordinated by the Parish Council. The financial goal is set by the diocese. Any money collected above the goal is returned to the parish. | ||

| Computer Technology Committee | ||
| This committee, comprised of parish volunteers, is instrumental in planning and implementing the technology needs of the parish. Members troubleshoot problems for the entire campus – school, parish office, church, priests’ residence. | ||

| Building and Grounds Committee | ||
| This committee together with the
parish Building and Grounds Coordinator oversees the property for maintenance,
renovation and improvement of all parish facilities. Regular cleaning of
most facilities is out-sourced to a cleaning service. The church is cleaned by volunteers on a weekly basis. |

| Cemetery and Mausoleum Board | ||
| Concerns of the board are layout, maintenance, security, sale of lots, and proper interment of the deceased. St. John Cemetery is located on Hwy 261 across from Newburgh Plaza. A mausoleum is constructed at cemetery ground on Bell Road. The structure contains above ground burial crypts, repository areas for cremation urns and a chapel. For cemetery lots or mausoleum spaces, call the parish office. | ||

| School Board | ||
|
This board is a policy-making body for St. John the Baptist Elementary School. The board is responsible for fiscal reviews, assessment of the principal, monitoring curriculum and goal setting of elected members. Meets the 1st Tuesday of the month, 7:00 p.m., Teacher Work Room, School |

| PTSA | ||
| The Parent-Teacher-Student Association exists for the sole purpose of supporting programs of the school. It provides human and financial resources for St. John School through volunteers and various social and fundraising activities. The association meets the 2nd Tuesday, 7:00 p.m., Teacher Work Room, School. | ||

| Living Legacy Society | ||
|
The Living Legacy Society is a way to recognize parishioners who have given past and current gifts of $1,000+ to an endowment or other planned gift for the benefit of St. John Parish. An annual Mass and recognition dinner is held each year on or near the feast of St. John the Baptist. St. John the Baptist Endowments |

| Alumni Association | ||
| A "yet-to-be" association of alumni and friends of St. John the Baptist Elementary School that hopes to gather for social events annually. The aim of the association would be to keep alumni aware of and involved in the continuing growth and good news of the school. | ||
