Parish Pastoral Council

The Parish Pastoral Council consists of elected parishioners and pastoral appointments. The council is an advisory body to the Pastor. It gives direction through discerning God's will for the community, assessing needs, developing priorities and engaging in planning. Meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of the month, 7:00 p.m. in the Joseph Room.

Finance Committee
This committee is made up of appointed parishioners with professional financial background. They help in the creation of the yearly budget and assist/advise in financial matters.

CPC
This annual campaign is a means of providing financial support for various service programs offered by the Catholic Diocese of Evansville. The campaign is coordinated by the Parish Council. The financial goal is set by the diocese. Any money collected above the goal is returned to the parish.

E-Debit / Electronic Transfer of Funds / E-Tithing
A modern tool for modern times. Sign up for direct, electronic transfer of your stewardship offerings from your checking or savings account. Weekly or monthly on the 1st or 15th or semi-monthly on the 1st and 15th. It is a convenience for parishioners and helps smooth the cash flow for the parish. Authorization agreement forms available at the parish office.

PTSA
The Parent-Teacher-Student Association exists for the sole purpose of supporting programs of the school. It provides human and financial resources for St. John the Baptist School through volunteers and various social and fundraising activities. The association meets the 2nd Tuesday, 7:00 P.M., Teacher Work Room, School.

Facilities Planning Committee
This committee together with the parish Building and Grounds Coordinator oversees the property for maintenance, renovation and improvement of all parish facilities. Regular cleaning of most facilities is out-sourced to a cleaning service.

Cemetery and Mausoleum Board
Concerns of the board are layout, maintenance, security, sale of lots, and proper interment of the deceased. St. John the Baptist Cemetery is located on Hwy 261 across from Newburgh Plaza. The mausoleum is located at 5020 Bell Road. The structure contains above ground burial crypts, repository areas for cremation urns and a chapel. For cemetery lots or mausoleum spaces, call the parish office.

School Council
The Council advises St. John the Baptist Catholic School and is the voice of parishioners to the school. The School Council is responsible for fiscal reviews, assessment of the principal, capital needs of the school, monitoring curriculum and goal setting of the elected members.
Meets monthly in the School Library.
